It was never the intent to race the TT after Parker. Once RG got in the Clyde Stacy Truggy and won the overall and the class, it was on for the year, they backed it up with another Overall and class win.
The TT has its good points and bad points. It is good for the 500 and the 1000. Its built to handle the fast roads. What it is not real good at is the long whoop sections or the rough crossgrain. The Geiser truck has a better package for the rougher races. I have seen video and pictures of RG drive the Geiser truggy and it looks like old vintage RG. Man on a mission, throw it around, 2 wheels etc. I have always felt if RG got the Geiser package and ran his engine nobody would touch it. RG will always do it his way for better or for worse but at the end of the day its about winning. I hope he sits back and looks at 2 for 2 Overall in a Geiser and a DNF in San Felipe in RGM equipment and evaulates what is more fun. winning or breaking.
I agree with you a lil bit Todd . I like your idea of the Truggy chassis with Robby's motors but i say take it a step futher and put the TT body on it and run in the TT class instead of class 1 . With Robby's ideas and experience behind Clyde's money and resources they can BOTH benefit .
Pro Am didn't build the transmission. Pro Am didn't roll the truck at 130 MPH at the 1000 last year.
Awesome win today! So proud of Robby and the team!!! Congratulations!
