Clyde Stacy (RPM Off Road) will be driving the H3 as a test for his DAKAR 2013 debut in Peru next January. Gordon will be chasing Stacy in the monstrous DAKAR style support truck and, according to Stacy, may take the wheel a day or two into the rally. Oh, and according to Robby at the drivers meeting, “I took the (pinche) restrictor off!”

RPM Off Road Owner Clyde Stacy (L) is big time into Robby's H3 program and will use the M1K to test for DAKAR

So Robby isn't racing Dakar? Or did I read this wrong.

never mind. just saw the article.

How cool is this. I hope it works well for both.

Repost...but glad to see Clyde working with RGM.

I like this part the best:

Today, Robby Gordon’s TEAM RPM SPEED showed up in Mexicali and Gordon’s HUMMER H3 (DAKAR) passed though technical inspection without issue followed by a handful of other unlimited class 1 type racecars, trucks and bikes.

Uh oh! Repost. Kenyon &the Planet Police are going to lose it on this one. LOL!!

Love this hummer, hope it makes the Dakar in 2013.

Gee maybe this driver will actually run the whole race and not be a whiney crybaby and go home . Im really startin to like ole Clyde i may have to buy a shirt or hat or both http://www.rpmoffroad.com/products/3421/Apparel.html?prev=3421

Isnt the support truck actually involved as part of the dakar race.

That depends what type of truck he will be driving. Will he be racing T4 truck (camion/lorry) behemoths?

So is robby going to race against the kamaz's? And can you just swap drivers in dakar?

They are not talking about the Dakar event, they are referring to a Baja race before the Dakar.
