2012 Sonoma Race Weekend Info & Discussion

Join in here and discuss all the weekend action for the 2012 Sonoma cup race. Robby Gordon will attempt to qualify the #7 Mapei Dodge into the field on Friday & will run the full race on Sunday. Gordon finished 18th at this track in 2011 & won the race in 2003. Here is the weekend schedule for RGM at the California track.

FRIDAY , JUNE 22nd

Practice 3:00pm - 4:30 pm/et ( TV - SPEED )
Qualifying 6:40pm - 8:00 pm/et ( TV - SPEED - TAPE DELAY AT 11:00pm/et )

yea that was a couple years back,but more important leicht blew his engine after 4 laps , has to help the cause

just has to be smart until he locks himself in the race. Don't need what happened to Scott Speed when he drove for Red Bull.

Realistic goal would be to keep the car in the top 20 all day.
As Robby said last season when they were start-n-parking, not showing up every week leaves you behind the curve. You just can't expect everybody to dust off the cobwebs and immediately run to the front of one of the most competitive grids in the world of motorsports. We know that when things are firing on all cylinders they're capable of more, but they're jumping right back in with the sharks.
