Is Menards gonna stop selling speed energy drink? The Menards by my house hardly had any speed & they were discounted. Does anyone have an idea whats going on?

i'm down in Tijuana quite a bit, and the tiniest little store I walk into has SPEED.

If only they could duplicate in the US what they are doing in Baja, SPEED would be crazy here!

SPEED is king in Mexico, and the SPEED girls are the princesses !!!

The Menards I stopped at just outside Kansas City had SPEED in the cooler near the register, but I did not see any in stock on the floor.

yes, they are doing alot of events!! then this weekend is Rosarito SPEED 200.

I agree they are getting rid of the 12oz cans and only make the 16oz cans, so the old school cans are a bit banged up but great price and they have tabs!

Just have to be careful. A lot of the older cans I'm running into don't have the black tabs.

Stoped in Menards in So, IL and all is good ! But I want to see it in Sams club soon !! Im sure they are working on it.

Last week when I went to the KY race I wanted to introduce my friends to Speed Energy. My normal source is through the internet and taking it on the airplane isn't practical so as soon as I landed in Cincinnati the first task was to find someplace that carried it. Not knowing the area, I put my faith in my trusty Garmin and got to visit my first Menards store. Not knowing the store layout had to ask directions. Everyone was supper helpful. No questioning "what is Speed Energy?" They offered to get me a case but that was more than needed for the weekend. Grabbed two 4-packs of the orange and green, the only ones on display and was in and out in ten minutes. Have no idea where I was except someplace north of Cincinnati. Managed to get to the hotel five minutes before my friends driving in from Deleware. They were high on Monster/Snickers that kept them going on their drive but the next day enjoyed the Speed Energy. Had to refer them to the website to find where they could find it when they got back to DE.

By the way - you people back east can keep your weather. I will stay in the desert. Brown is beautiful.

I think the Menard family and Robby have to good of a relationship for them to pull Speed off the shelf. I prefer the smaller cans and would like to get one in each flavor as "collectors". TOG - are 12oz cans still available if order them online?

Are they moving to 16oz for a higher profit margin?

Rob, it's not profit, it's the market. The competition sells 16oz's for approx $1.99/ea. SPEED is a new product selling 12oz for the same price. Yes it's a better product, & yes us RG fans will grab em up. However, getting John Brand Loyal Public to go to say menards to buy 25% less for the same price is a bit difficult. Lemme ask you this, if there's 2 cans next to eachother, & one is "25% more FREE", which do you buy? Now add the limited availability of SPEED to that equation. The comp is readily available everywhere. Therefore, better product, same price...now were talking. Time to get it out there, everywhere.
As for Menard & RG, 2 quick RG quotes, hold the stories. "John Menard is like my other dad." & "SPEED will ALWAYS be in Menards."
"I think the Menard family and Robby have to good of a relationship for them to pull Speed off the shelf."
You nailed that one, like it was an orange cone.

@ Rob Waldrip, or anyone else for that matter, I saved a bunch of SPEED Energy cans version 1.0 (12oz - old "S" logo.) I have a whole trash bag full of em. They are empty (cuz I drank em) & the pull tabs are removed (cuz I sent em in for SPEED swag) but if you want one for your collection I would be happy to send it to you if you pay the shipping costs. . I have yellow and orange only, sorry no pink (at 6 foot 175 lbs I had no need to buy the pink diet flavor lol but looking back I wish I had grabed a case of those also...).

I also have full 12 oz cans, orange yellow and pink, of can version 2.0 (new style 'S' logo) sorry, no green as it was not offered in 12oz cans. Again, just pay the costs and shipping and I could send you a set of all 3 (orange, pink & yellow) (full cans with pull tabs attached lol)

With PayPal its a quick and easy transaction.

LIKE !!

Last Friday I stopped at the new Menards at Lake of the Ozarks, no problems finding Speed, this is the largest Menards that there is (according to manager), place is huge
