STADIUM SUPER TRUCKS on
NBC & NBC Sports Network in 2013
New York (September 18, 2012) –Robby Gordon’s Stadium SUPER Trucks and NBC Sports Group have reached an agreement to televise the 2013 Inaugural Stadium SUPER Trucks Season on NBC and NBC Sports Network. Starting in April of 2013, NBC and NBC Sports Network will televise 12 races (11 domestic and one international).
Capitalizing on what was once known as Mickey Thompson’s Off-Road Racing, Robby Gordon’s Stadium SUPER Trucks will feature high-flying off-road action motorsports fans have been asking for. The entire championship season will be broadcasted on NBC and NBC Sports Network, with the series awarding $500,000 to the Champion driver of Stadium SUPER Trucks.
“It has always been my dream to bring back stadium racing to the masses. I started my career winning a championship in Mickey’s series and now I want to revive his vision and bring back what the motorsports world needs. NBC Sports understands what kind of excitement and value our show will exhibit. This will be extreme wheel-to-wheel, door-to-door, roof-to-dirt racing action for all ages,” said Robby Gordon, President of Stadium SUPER Trucks.

It would cost me an extra $25 or $30 a month to get a package that includes NBC Sports Network and the Speed Channel. Not worth the cost to me. I have an RV, a membership with Resorts of Distinction, and a membership at Harmony Ridge Resort. I am not home many weekends and when out in the RV the last thing I want is to watch TV. I removed the TV that was installed in it when I bought it. But, I do have a laptop in it and most of the places I go have Wi-Fi. So I am not totally out of touch.
Thanks mj. I am with Dish, but will shop around a little as our contract is up very soon. We may just go back to Comcast.
I get it on basic cable along with Speed, ESPN2/ESPNews/ESPNClassic, NFL Network, Golf Network, SNY (was MSG for awhile but then changed to SNY the other year), Comcast Sportsnet Philly (in the Poconos so this is kind of a local channel I guess, though I don't have Comcast cable, it also shows FSN programing), & YES (Yankees Network)
Great announcement! Can not wait until the Atlanta race.
Wait until after Dakar (if there is one) and we will know all....
For a first year stadium truck racing series these are some impressive venues. I was at first concerned it would be mainly in LA and San Diego since Southern California is the epicenter of off road racing. However, I am absolutely impressed at what Robby and USAC have been able to put together!
This is great news for Robby.
words of this MOFO Pistol Pete Sohtren
"robbys long awaited TV PACKAGE announcement that was supposed to blow everyone away is......drumroll please........the old VERSUS channel, an obscure cable channel???? BIG DEAL......thats nothing....."
Pete sucks, lol
Hey Pete, I looked on your BajaLite.com website for the BajaLite TV schedule. Found nothing. In fact, I found nothing at all on your website but a tired photoshop landing page. If this is your NEW website I hate to think what the old one looked like. But then again, if you wanted a professional presence on the Interwebs you would have to pay somebody $$ instead of promises and a half empty bottle of Slime.
Face it Pete, there are talkers and doers. You're a talker. SST is what you hoped BajaLites would be and Robby is everything you can only wish to be. Don't choke on those sour grapes.
