STADIUM SUPER TRUCKS on
NBC & NBC Sports Network in 2013
New York (September 18, 2012) –Robby Gordon’s Stadium SUPER Trucks and NBC Sports Group have reached an agreement to televise the 2013 Inaugural Stadium SUPER Trucks Season on NBC and NBC Sports Network. Starting in April of 2013, NBC and NBC Sports Network will televise 12 races (11 domestic and one international).
Capitalizing on what was once known as Mickey Thompson’s Off-Road Racing, Robby Gordon’s Stadium SUPER Trucks will feature high-flying off-road action motorsports fans have been asking for. The entire championship season will be broadcasted on NBC and NBC Sports Network, with the series awarding $500,000 to the Champion driver of Stadium SUPER Trucks.
“It has always been my dream to bring back stadium racing to the masses. I started my career winning a championship in Mickey’s series and now I want to revive his vision and bring back what the motorsports world needs. NBC Sports understands what kind of excitement and value our show will exhibit. This will be extreme wheel-to-wheel, door-to-door, roof-to-dirt racing action for all ages,” said Robby Gordon, President of Stadium SUPER Trucks.

Amen!!
"Pistol" Pete Sohren drives the #2 Trophy Truck in many Score Events. As some have mentioned earlier he's quite opinionated and and a general all around hater of things that don't benefit him. Because of the luck of the draw, Pete will be starting first in the TT class at this years Baja 1000. I am afraid that he will get passed frequently in this years' edition of the 1000 because his driving style is of the sort that will cause his ride to expire prematurely.
I kind of thought a completely brand new racing series with zero history, wouldnt normally be on an NBC affiliated network (and NBC apparently). Shiz, its the same network that airs half of the IndyCar races.
Major accomplishment!!!!
FIRST YEAR PETE!!!!!
You missed my point. I was bashing This Pete guy.
The series has no history, the owner has no history of running a series, and he still got NBC to broadcast 12 one hour shows.
That is a major accomplishment!!!
Sadly, I had a feeling we wouldn't see any North East dates. At least now I can watch on TV!
Good News... TV Package. Bad News.....I'm not in Dallas in mid July. Just wondering, Since I'm in New ENGLAND, does that count for a possible International Date?
Perhaps they will race in Montreal...?
