As of 12-4-12, there has been NO ANNOUNCEMENT from RGM about it's plans for the upcoming 2013 Dakar Rally. The entry list at Dakar.com is NOT the final entry list. With the rally starting in Peru ( instead of Argentina ), it's almost 3,000 miles closer than past rallies for shipping the vehicles. I believe we should hear something official very soon. Keep in mind some of Robby's 2012 Dakar plans didn't take shape until late November / early December 2011.

Well spoken my friend, well spoken...

One radiates cold shafts of broken glass, one does not have them held to their neck.

The pickles sound like hot stuff with a hat pin. Hope you take the prize.

Yes she does

Dakar without Robby would be like winter without firewood. Fingers crossed, and hoping.

I just thought of something else: With his efforts with the Speed Energy drink brand, how can he not run this race? This brand is becoming huge in SA. It would be sustaining a momentum that has been created and is established there. Just thinkin' out loud...

We need some respresntation in the Dakar. There is not one American driver listed so far. There are also a few Polaris vehicles listed in the Car catagory. Do you think tha the Hummer could be rebranded as another Polaris?

We love this rally and because its starting date is right after New Years it gives some good and entertaining excitement at the lull of motor racing schedules.

However, the disappointing thing last year had to be the inconsistent ruling on RG's equipment. Was Mike Helton involved in this debacle?

I still have the sour taste in my mouth (even after all the Crown Royal) and for that I personally would like to see him focus solely on SST and the upcoming launch of the inaugural season. This is going to be huge and the first step is a big one...Good Luck RG in all your efforts!

Just spoke with Jerry Lewis..........he says he'd like to help but the french are just to untrustworthy.

I just threw up in my mouth after reading and watching the Nasser video clip of the new rig. I have so many emotions regarding this new rig, I dont know where to begin. I suppose it was only a matter of time before the people over the pond realized the potential af the 2wd rigs. There is no substitution for wheel travel folks! I guess us lazy Americans are'nt so dumb after all! Also, I had a bad feeling somewhere deep inside me that giving Nasser one of our rigs to experience for himself was going to be a bad idea. I mean look, he pushed that Hummer faster and further than we have seen. And you know he was highly impressed! Not saying running at 100% all the time is good. Oviously keeping a smart pace in a long race is the preferred plan. Then to have jefferies, an American build the truck for him, i dont know why, but it bothers me too! Yeah, I know, our economy sucks and everyone needs to make hay when the sun shines blah blah blah.Lastly, seeing TOYO on the rigs makes me ill yet again. Now look, I know how the whole politics and marketing of racing goes. Ive been dealing with that garbage for over 20 years. And, everybody wants their product on display, but for some reason, it bothers me when its one of our original sponsors. I have always had that bad quality when a sponsor bails. However after watching the video, I have already noticed a couple questionable things on the new rigs. This now more than ever makes me hope RGM can put together a program for the DAKAR, and punt the piss out of those new shitboxes! Thank You and Goodnight! The T has left the building!

Ya I agree with ya bro . I don't like to say Robby did something stupid but putting that asshole Nassar in our trucks last yr was a huge mistake . Nassar is nothing but an over privileged , richie rich fag and wouldn't know a real race truck if it ran him over . I've got that same sickness you got it makes my skin crawl to think Nassar is out there in a vehicle ( I call it that cause it doesn't deserve to be called a race truck ) that was built and designed here in the US .

Seriously guys? It's not that big a deal. Robby sold him the seat and I bet he smiled all the way to the bank.

He didn't need to drive the Hummer to know how fast it was, everyone in the Dakar knows how fast it is. Nassar is not going to do well with a new truck. There is so much more to the Dakar than having a new race truck. It could take a couple of years to work the bugs out of these race trucks and the team.
