2013 Pre-Dakar Rally Discussion

As of 12-4-12, there has been NO ANNOUNCEMENT from RGM about it's plans for the upcoming 2013 Dakar Rally. The entry list at Dakar.com is NOT the final entry list. With the rally starting in Peru ( instead of Argentina ), it's almost 3,000 miles closer than past rallies for shipping the vehicles. I believe we should hear something official very soon. Keep in mind some of Robby's 2012 Dakar plans didn't take shape until late November / early December 2011.

If Robby enters the race, i will travel to Cordoba to see the stage there and try to see them ar the bivouac. I will ask for my vacations at my job.. haha

having robby just do all the u.s. events only limits his chances to promote his brand and name in other parts of the world. as a buisness point of view, this is what he needs to continue his racing adventures. it would be soo awsome to see robby win a dakar or be back in nascar.

last I heard, RG said they (The ASO) will have to make major concessions for him to show up. MAJOR like as in free everything.

Those new Red Bull buggies will fail... It's just the nature of the beast. New shit always fails.

It's sad RG won't be going.... Because you can take guys like Nassar or anyone else for that matter and pit them against RG 2wd vs 2wd and RG will smoke them everytime. The 4wd advantage is gone.
