Jimmie Johnson - Robby Gordon one of top drivers that scares me the most to be around on the track

Q: WHAT FIVE DRIVERS, ANYWHERE ON THE TRACK, WOULD SCARE YOU THE MOST TO BE AROUND?

JOHNSON: "There are a bunch of them (laughs). Typically, wrecked cars to start with, and then I think if you get around the No. 77 (Sam Hornish Jr.) or the No. 42 (Juan Pablo Montoya) or the No. 7 (Robby Gordon) at times can be a handful; gosh, you go through the list, let's see. I seem to be struggling with those guys from time to time. The No. 77 of late has been one of the toughest ones for me to pass, which I don't understand why. But I guess those three off the to of my head."

That wasn't pure racing. That was Stenhouse trying to cheap-shot his way to a championship and Scott Speed responding in amazing fashion. Used to be a fan of both guys but Stenhouse is on my sh!t list now.
Agree. Stenhouse is a true piece of shit. People waste that term on Waltrip around here....
Charlotte is ass backwards???
Like I've always said, Juan is Robby with an accent.
JJ's eyebrow waxer is probably one of the very few that won't even sweat are economic pinch coming up-he or she is a genious- i guess they were right, get an education- wax school
JJ waxes his eyebrows??? So does Kenny Wallace, what up with that??? With that remark about Robby, I don't think JJ will be driving the Baja with him. LOL. Joan
Well screw him. Is that the thanks Robby gets for giving him a position at Phoenix a couple of years ago because he needed the points more than Robby cos JJ was running for the title ?
2006 I think, or maybe 05. The # 7 was running 6th and passed the # 48 then let him pass him back. Robby just wanted to prove he could pass him but knew the # 48 could use the extra points !
I might well be wrong. But that race in 05 (November race) he caught the #48 very quickly, passed him and then got passed back almost right away. He followed the # 48 over the line. Go check the results. The # 48 finished 7th and Robby finished 8th. Not bullshit. That happened and Robby didn't fight to keep 7th.
I remember that too zippy, for some reason i'm thinking it was one of the first for the COT cars also, RG even got interviewed after and said me and JJ go way back. From all i've heard, not just this situation, but a few others, like the guy's that have put JJ in some of his first dirt ride's- Sounds like JJ has a very short memory-Champitis
I was at the 11/05 PHX race and heard RG say on the scanner that he gave JJ the spot. That was the best outing for the #7 IMHO. Just a great day. Could pass and was great on old tires. He was in rare form and Greg called a great race.
Thanks for that guys. I didn't really like the coment made by RabidRGfan. I knew he gave him that spot. Robby will do people good turns, he's a fighter but he's also fair.
No, he didn't spin him, he beat on his back bumper and distracted him causing Robby to lose focus and Tony Stewart got past. Also, it was at Sonoma, not the Glen. Good point though, Harvick was being a pain then for sure.Robby got him back in 2003 with the Infineon pass to the yellow flag move.
