STAGE 9: SAN MIGUEL DE TUCAMAN > CORDOBA

Connection 259km | Special Stage 593km | Total 852km

COURSE OVERVIEW

Trucks will have pride of place when the rally resumes, only competing in one of the two parts of the special stage, but they will have the rare privilege of setting off first. The stage’s profile with quick tracks will be favourable to specialists of torturous routes. In the other categories, as the distance has been doubled it will also allow for an additional, much more technical section, where, in particular, the drivers will negotiate the bends in the forest. They will have to watch out for trees, given that the rapid assistance trucks won’t have access to the route. The competitors will have to be extremely vigilant over the entire distance, which is, for all except for the bikers, the rally’s longest special stage.

Now that's funny.

+1

Give those Jefferie's cars some credit. Didn't think they would even make that far and a couple of stage wins is impressive. We all knew the first year program wouldn't finish.

Now Rob needs to get into that top 10!!!

thank the dakar gods it was human driver error and not Jefferie's motor

that was an ass kicker of a stage right there..........106 started and only 37 in so far

You need to take care of your equipment.

Sounds like Nasser may have hit a tree.

He touched wood.

he will cry out that the tree was not on the book and RG or Pepe Le'Pew planted it on pourpose.

According to the Dakar site, Nasser had to "stop several times" after clipping a tree. So it may be a suspension issue, rather than an engine problem.
