STAGE 9: SAN MIGUEL DE TUCAMAN > CORDOBA

Connection 259km | Special Stage 593km | Total 852km

COURSE OVERVIEW

Trucks will have pride of place when the rally resumes, only competing in one of the two parts of the special stage, but they will have the rare privilege of setting off first. The stage’s profile with quick tracks will be favourable to specialists of torturous routes. In the other categories, as the distance has been doubled it will also allow for an additional, much more technical section, where, in particular, the drivers will negotiate the bends in the forest. They will have to watch out for trees, given that the rapid assistance trucks won’t have access to the route. The competitors will have to be extremely vigilant over the entire distance, which is, for all except for the bikers, the rally’s longest special stage.

what time does the eurosport coverage start, pacific time

When the blokes finish up their little game of snooker.

thanks

It's on when snooker is over, whenever that is.

Nasser who?

From the Dakar site-
Nonetheless, today's highlight was Nasser Al-Attiyah's technical problems. He had to stop several times throughout the special after a driving mistake brought him a little too close to a tree, according to competitors who drove past him. The Qatari saw his last hopes of winning the rally go up in smoke, as the ever-consistent "Peter" extended his lead to 49′31″ on De Villiers and 56′03″ on teammate Leonid Novitskiy.

the ever-consistent "Peter" extended??? Sounds like a Viagra or Cialis issue

Could it be the end for Nasser in Dakar 2013. Stay tuned....

Looks like he took the tree with him in this picture (but it might be a photo issue)!

Best picture I've seen all rally !!!!!

Cant fix a head light let alone whatever this issue is...

Looks like he busted the axle shaft coming out
