Goes to David Gilliland for using his car as a murder weapon against Juan Montoya at 180mph. Nascar said there'd be no further penalties against Gilliland, giving more late-year proof of their idiocy.

Guys in football games have been prosecuted for hits on guys with less intent than Gilliland obviously had against JPM, he didn't give a damn who he hurt, including himself, and should be thrown out of Nascar for life.

......Or at the very least, for the rest of the year. This is total BS.....
I agree that Gilliland should not have used his car as a weapon. However, Juan Pablows has been using his car as a weapon every race since he came to the series! I think if he gets punted a few more times he might figure it out!
What Gilliland did was blatant and similar to what Waltrip did to Mears at Richmond which got Waltrip parked also.
JPM uses his car as a weapon every weekend, in fact he even admitted he used his front bumper to move the 38 car the lap before.

Murder weapon? Thrown out of nascar for life? Oh yea, those are intelligent statements. Your a JPM fan of the most sensitive guy alive, either way awful post.
up yours
When Juan ran into Shrubby he had the gonads to man up to it.

When Scott Speed dumped Ricky Stenhouse he had the brass to man up to it.

Gliigan on the other hand made up some wussie little response that was soooo wimpy. They should throw a dress on him and name him Nancy... but then that would be an insult to all the Nancys on this board.
Absolutely. Gilliland is jackass of the year. He was laps down and first ran Montoya into the wall. If I'm Montoya I give him a little bumper too. It wasn't like he wrecked Gillland. Then Gilliland blatantly and with intent used his car as a weapon to take Montoya out. What's worse, he didn't have the talent or the intellect to keep himself from wrecking. What a loser. Hopefully he loses his ride to Menard.
felt bad for Juan, as he's gotten screwed out of a good finish two weeks in a row. I'm not excusing Gilligan, but keep in mind JPM drives like a total mad man and has taken cars out before, including half of the field no more than 10 seconds after the green flag dropped in the Winston Open 2 years ago. do unto others...
Brian I agree with you to some extent but there's a difference between racing hard and a little over your head sometimes and blatantly taking someone out. Are you saying Robby has never wrecked anyone by being a little over-exuberant? A Robby Gordon fan saying Montoya drives like a mad man sometime is kinda like the pot calling the kettle black. Keep in mind I'm a fan of both guys.
that was the most exciting part of the race to bad it wasn't jimmy.
jpm is a jack***** i can't stand him, he thinks he's someone's gift to nascar. but gilliland should not have made it look so obvious that he was out to get him.
It is unfortunate that Gilliland got the brunt of NASCAR's wrath. Montoya should have been parked 10- to-15 races ago. He hits everyone and then blames the person who hits him back. Montoya has had issues with almost every driver in the race - every race, it's just a different driver. True Gilliland slammed him, but it looked to me as if way before this Montoya was doing the hitting. Joan
