Montreal, Quebec = North East.

I was hoping too... but I sent a direct email and got this response from Natasha at Team Gordon:

"Our international date has not been finalized, but it looks more and more like we will be racing in Mexico City this year."

I figured that as well. I was just being hopeful. Speed has a huge presence in Mexico along with off-road racing. As you know Chris, Speed hasn't made it to the shelves here yet and "off-road" to most up here means hitting black ice and waiting for a tow truck. To market Speed (if they can get passed Health Canada) here is going to require aggressive campaigns to the sno-boarder, road racing and ultimately - the hockey crowds. If the SST International event is to be held in Mexico City, it would only make total sense from a business stand point for 2013. IMO.

I agree completely.... it makes more sense in mexico.. hopefully one year it makes it's way north of the border.. I love the black ice comment though... Where I live we have a fairly dedicated (albeit small) racing community (ice racing - cars/bikes) as well as motocross and a new dirt track being built just outside town... but not nearly enough to support a new energy drink (although I am pushing speed on my younger cousins who think M****er is the best drink ever, and it's working!)

maybe toronto next year? Supercross does well.. if promoted properly (which unfortunately is tough considering NBC sports isn't available in Canada) SST could do really well too...

I think part of the health canada thing requires the label to be in french and english... having to redesign the can for this might not be worth the effort.. until it is, I just gotta take road trips to duluth!

SST track getting ready in Long Beach

What turns will the jump ramps be at? I hope there will be one just after the hairpin turn 11, there would be a lot of exposure in front of the bleachers.(OK maybe I am being a little self serving, that is we where my family will be & freinds will be). Long Beach GP is a great weekend with lots of international exposure!

I just saw this;

JJ Yeley says he'll be racing in Robby Gordon's new Stadium Truck series as well as for Tommy Baldwin's Cup team. See Sat. AZ Republic.

Am I the last to know?

No because that's news to me.. good stuff Dave.

Hmmmm great rumor as of now!

Phoenix’s J.J. Yeley is hoping his 10th place finish at Daytona will draw in more sponsorship for his No. 36 Chevrolet, fielded by Tommy Baldwin Racing, with support from Accell Construction at PIR.

“Hopefully, I’m back on the upswing,” Yeley said. “The economy has hurt the sport and, for me, not having a big sponsor, it’s been more-or-less a survival mode for me in NASCAR. We don’t have (sponsors) for all the schedule yet.”

Yeley said he’s going to race in Robby Gordon’s new Off-Road Super Truck Series, which debuts April 6 at University of Phoenix Stadium.

Cool little video explains track at the "Compound" and layout by Arie Jr http://www.planetrobby.com/video/a-look-at-robby-gordon-s-test-faci...

I have a feeling its going to be a good announcement week.
