Atlanta SST in July

I know it's early to be discussing this race, and a couple discussions have been started and deleted already.. I would like to start talking about in order to start making plans about it. I myself have no plans on "pausing or deleting this post".

Info I'm looking for..

1, anyone with knowledge of the stadium area please speak up on anything that might be good to know

2, Hotels? While I would prefer to bring my camper I didn't see any campground listed close to this area. I hate driving after large events so I'm looking for hotels that are within oh...say.. 2miles from the stadium. (wife has a $300 gift card to Mariot Hotels given to her from work). So any info in close hotels would be great.

3, And of course anyone else that's planning on going and wants to do a Planet Robby meet and great would be cool.

On a side note.. TOG or other moderator. So things don't post don't get lost, Maybe a good idea to create a group for Upcoming SST races. with a discussion for each upcoming SST race?

Were staying a Hyatt Place in Alpharetta which is 45 mins away . But would love to find something closer as well . Thing is this place is $ 80.00 a nite so its a good price . Plus has free breakfast and rooms are HUGE . I am TOTALLY up for a meet and greet . Already have Carrie , Kevin Watford and Justin Smith plus Carrie did a head count and it looks like 35 of us Planeteers . Me , Carrie , and Kevin have already exchanged cell numbers in order to find each other at the event but we can always add to it . The more the merrier its gonna be AWESOME ! Both Carrie and Kevin live in the area so they're pretty much the go to people . Hope this helps others going .

Kevin.. Thanks for volunteering local info. i'm going to book a hotel soon. so I will bug you to verify hotel info before I book it.. ... and don't worry.. I wont hold you accountable *wink*

I'm going to be in Alabama for the 4th so I plan on heading over to Atlanta for the SST event. Looking forward to meeting more Planeteers!!
