The event was awesome! Great racing by all drivers, some cool action and overall a great racing experience. Keep up the good work Robby, And I'll see you in San Diego.

Robby thanking his "partner" was pretty cool. I got the feeling that he is over the hump on this deal and its working.

Wow, I guess today's the "Boys have at it" day! I'm lovin it! Please continue, make for fun reading!!!

haven't seen the tv broadcast yet but, there are some pretty good videos on youtube.

RG really is amazing - this is a way cool form of racing - he even managed to make the dirt jump and paved uphill routes about even time wise

I hope this series takes off like a rocket

Gas On

one of the better videos on youtube

This is an exciting new type of racing and I'm sure from what we've all seen so far RG will be mixing up the tracks. The combo of pavement and dirt at the LA event makes it extra unique. Reminds me of the Supermoto bike series.

Thanks for all the good inputs and vids to the folks here at the Planet!

I thought the track was really cool. Watching the Monster Trucks jump over each other was one of the highlights for me! I wish the SST would have been forced to do the big jump. Maybe do a mandatory 5 times over or something. All in all I had a great time and can't wait to go again!

Having just watched that, it really confirms my assumptions. It's not about being an RG fan or not being supportive of the series, it's just looking at what happened.

First off, even the announcer mentions Gordon's window net "Could be a problem" is " a saftey concern". Much like the broadcast we never heard why it was disregarded.

Secondly , watching that footage Wards truck had to go. Did he get out or something....at one point it looked like something (person...squatch even) was around that truck under green. After it was removed it opened up the ability for drivers to "setup" inside or outside runs. Don't think any actual passes occurred, but it seemed to help racing overall.

In regards to the barriers being moved, in the first segment just about every driver tried the jump option. Lofton, Rob Mac, Johnson....all seemed to try to make up ground using it....so I don't think the tire blow out and wreck made anybody timid. RG also used it while leading.

Seems very ironic that PJ Jones was the only driver trying it after midway...post barrier removal. Even though Mattney, Lola and Lofton wrecked into each other maybe 4 times jamming up in the sand pit and out of the jumps into "turn 1" not once did they go for the option.

In closing, unless they had a camera and live feed....I liked the effect racing thru the pillars made. In person, it looks like it ruined sight lines and didn't allow you guys to see the "forcing yourself back in line" and drifting that made that section so good on TV.

After watching that and the TV replay again....I'm convinced that was a bad editing job. I don't see in that live video where RGs net could have came up. Prolly with the quick turn around needed on broadcast they used a random shot of him coming down the hill and never thought of continuity with the window net.

It's a work in progress. Each venue will have its own set of challenges. Sure, it would be nice to have the luxury of a half dozen full dress rehearsals to address all the combinations of "what ifs" before the show, but time, logistics, and budget prevents that. On to San Diego.

+1

Dude, instead of going on with all the crap just realize this is a new series and will take some time to iron out all the bugs. When someone starts a new series along with providing all the equipment and gets it all right on the 1st shot then I'll listen. We should all be grateful we have a new series to watch and chat about that has our guy heading the entire thing up. On to San Diego...Gas On Robby, thanks for something new and exciting to watch!

oui (Yiddish for +1)

what's yiddish for screw you???
