I would like to know if it's what Robby expected. An amazing undertaking.
Robby needs to have some asphalt at every race. After watching Phoenix on TV my first thought was, "no burnout?" I guess I've watched too much nascar. I think it was Rob Mac and PJ that did burnouts on the back strech after the main, freaking awsome was to send people out the door in my opinion. I was very impressed with the event, yes there are some issues. I was not very impressed with the Phoenix broadcast, but I'm sure things will improve.
We attended the Coliseum event with great anticipation having been a regular at the Mickey Thompson events, my big complaints are with the stadium vendor staff so I won't vent them here. I was unsure about the asphalt portions but they worked. My recommendations; maybe a dirt rhythm section on the back straight, big screen video feed of not viewable areas. Overall we enjoyed the show, loved the cross over jump and up hill double!
Add a 2nd LA Coliseum date!
My family and I all went to the LA Coliseum event and we all agreed that more dirt was needed. We had a blast at the event but there were a few issues that should be looked at IMHO
First is when the announcer is speaking turn down the music better yet when the race is going no music period, overt half the time the announcer was talking you could barely hear him because the music was louder.
They also could explain a bit better what is going on like why are certain trucks in this heat race I didn't learn that until the TV show, but that could be because of the first issue.
What is with the Monster trucks running only one lap? I mean come on make it a race at least.
Also there was only one Trophy Kart and he got stuck on the sand hill.
These are all minor issues but if they made these better it would be more fun for all. I was sitting around a bunch of people that were totally new to this sport and was asking all sorts of question like these. One bad sign was most of them got up and left early
Still we had a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
So why can't they run more this isn't Monster Jam this is real racing or at least it is supposed to be. IMO
Alomst 10:30
That's a full day! Got your admission worth wouldn't you agree?
