28th fastest after 5 laps, Robby probably being very conservative after last week, I'm sure he doesn't want to be forced to another back up car. The TTCOT seems to really fit Robby, hopefully he can fine tune, take it easy, turn a hot lap and get a solid Top 20 finish, the he would be in good shape.
Going to a back up at Texas was tough, that car wasn't half the car as the primary one.

Robby did not go out for the last 5 minute qualifying run, he might have been trying to conserve his tire usage for the weekend. We have to realize that sposored or not, he still is a one car team and they have to limit their budget compared to the Hendricks and Roushes of the world.
I was impressed with what I saw from the new ttCOT, we shall see in about 2 hours...
