SPEED ENERGY STADIUM SUPER TRUCKS™ SERIES ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO 2013 SCHEDULE

CHARLOTTE, NC (June 18, 2013) – Robby Gordon OFF ROAD™ announced today that its Stadium SUPER Trucks™ Series (SST) will make venue and schedule changes that will alter the remainder of its 2013 schedule. Included is the addition of an SST event July 13 and 14 in Toronto.

According to series founder Robby Gordon, administering the first six races of the season in a span of only nine weeks was a difficult but rewarding challenge for the Stadium SUPER Trucks Series workers and crew.

“With such an immense undertaking in staging huge events like this around the country, and running six races in nine weeks, the schedule didn’t always allow us to optimize event preparation and race vehicle maintenance,”

Gordon said.

“We learned a lot that will help us continue to bring the most exciting brand of motorsports to racing fans everywhere. The improvements in our schedule for 2013 will enhance our program by helping us build our brand and position SST for a great 2014 season and beyond.”

New venues include 2 races in Toronto July 13-14 in conjunction with the IndyCar Series; Chicagoland Speedway July 19-20; and Crandon (WI) International Off Road Raceway August 30-Sept.1.

More details on the SST race at Toronto will be released later this week.

Removed from the original schedule are Chicago’s Soldier Field (June 22); Atlanta’s Georgia Dome (July 6); Dallas Cowboys Stadium (July 13); and the Minneapolis Metrodome (July 20).

The series is expected to announce in the coming weeks two additional events west of the Rockies for September and another in October.

SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks opened its season in Glendale, Ariz., on April 6th, and recently completed five more races over the following nine-week period that included the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, two events at San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium, and the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis.

BUY TICKETS - Day 2 of TRAXXAS TORC Series

BUY TICKETS - Must have an STP 300 ticket to view practice session

Looks like SST will run races during the TRAXXIS TORC Day 2 races. Cool!!!

This is the key quote. Longevity.

@HeadHeldHigh, loved the sarcasm...that was great. Shame on all who lost faith. The decision to tweek the schedule was a great one. More west coast and Indy Car venues and who knows, maybe a South American/Mexico race. Good job SST!

Go to what works!

So right Headheldhigh,But thats 75 % of race fans lol , Sometime its hard to be a good fan of anything. Domes are nice and cool but we are not there at this time.We told one of the SST workers the week befor St.Louis the #s will be low here. Its St. Louis .The same for Chicago, Chicagoland is what we needed here in St.Louis,Now our old nascar speedway is open ,so next year will be a real nice place to have the St.Louis race..Dont give up on St. louis Robby ! That was one hell of a show..Thanks.See u all back in Chicago 7-20.

This is really a good deal for the guys that were racing both the SST & TORC series.

Right Jaci.. I was worried about truck count for the aforementioned Minneapolis date on July 20th as TORC was running down in Illinios but it seems as though they have got that covered. I already have my RV spot (with electric!) reserved for Crandon but ticket sales for TORC are not ready yet.. could someone please explain to me how it'll will work for there.. will one weekend pass cover all events? I am pumped and hope to see some of you up in northern Wisconsin.

Not only that, USAC officials will already be here. Plus it'll also showcase the series to other drivers/ sponsors here for the other racing events in town that weekend. My biggest question at this point is prompted by the name "Chicagoland Speedway". TORC runs across the street @ Route 66's "Dirty O". So will SST be on the same track, or @ Chicagoland on the front stretch? In any case, as much as I'd have liked to see Soldiers, & the cutaway to commercial overhead with Lake Michigan...this is far more realistic, & prolly should've been "Plan A" for this area.

Awesome! Will they still be shown on television?

Live stream, no doubt.

MJ is gonna be pissed

MJ time to keep that road trip
