Ambulance costs are such a joke, my ride 5 years ago was $750. If I'd know that, I'd probably got back in the truck I rode in to the first hospital to get to the other hospital i had to go to from my arm getting cut by a chainsaw. The helicopter or airplane ride doesn't cost that much more so you should ask for that if you really need it.

I know this is off subject but you see all these drunks and drug addicts that can't afford the costs of riding in them all of the time and the people that can pay for it are the ones left paying the high costs when they might actually need it. Best thing to do is refuse the ride and get somebody to take you to the hospital unless it is absolutely needed.

I made the mistake of taking a ambulance ride in 1984, less than 10 miles-1K$. All to stick my pinky back on.If I had only know what the 'Portland doctor' was doing to do.
Reminder to everyone that rides a motorbike,always tell the doctor you where riding a bicycle.

Yeah but mom really needed the ambulance , plus the hospital is bout 40 mins away so it was better she went in it . Thing that really roasts my nuggets is the ambulance service itself . Ain't they supposed to be NON PROFIT ? Anyway back to Crandon if any of you that are still going could post up pics it would be great . I hope you all have a great time and drink at least 1 beer ( or SPEED for you nonalcoholics ) for me lol

My ambulance ride, got to the hospital wallet and watch plus ring were missing tried to get an answer an they almost said go pound sand.............

Doesn't surprise me 1 bit . I was lucky enough that I rode in the ambulance w mom . But trust me o think they charge by the mile and took the scenic route My brother drove there in our car and beat the ambulance by 20 mins . Its ridiculous !

That is just not right, the ambulance ride should not be that much. Anyway, will take a lot of pictures at Crandon, am always good at that, but am slow at posting.... will work on that, can't wait.
