The organisers of the Dakar have taken advantage of the announcement of the route of the 36th Dakar to reveal a list of competitors that is full of surprises. Despres with Yamaha, Casteu with KTM and Coma, Al Attiyah back in X-Raid to battle against “Peter”… the panorama has been turned upside down with a series of ‘transfers' since last January.

I'm still going to stick with my previous guess and hunch - TOYO Tires / "FORD Out Front sponsored vehicle. I got this hunch from a video I watched during one of the SEMA SST demos. Not sure if I heard the announcer say it or, if it was the title of the video. Factor in their trip to TOYO HQ (probably for DAKAR sponsorship, negotiations and ink to paper)

Now I can't find the Facebook pic, but I remember a BJ Baldwin post with a truck that looks similar to the Brenthel trucks (which appear to represent Ford) So, now add Toyo Tire sponsored BJ Baldwin to the mix. Also, I believe Robby's relationship with FORD goes WAY back. Then there's the Brenthel article, and something like if they can get sponsors....they could make it happen. Enter Imagineer and Marketing Master Robby Gordon to leverage his connections to sponsor and provide the $$$ to make it happen and field a multi-driver team all the while he and his Team USA all have a Brenthel ride.

I don't know - things just kind of add up to me but I wish somebody would fucking tell us all here whats up.

So, we've got TOYO TIRES, FORD out Front Sponsorhip. Brenthel race cars, Robby Gordon, BJ Baldwin and I'm going out on a limb but damn it - let's add Rob McC...

What a fuckin trio to represent the USA at Dakar! The best of the best! Brenthel Industries looks impressive. Riding on Toyo Tires, with Robby's Dakar experience ~ how cool would it be to see these three amigos go over there and just walk away with the shit. They should all have a graphic on the back of their truck that says "No Rebase".

I'm probably way off, but that's my intuitive, bi-polar, serial thinking. And even then, I have no idea about the real stuff we want to know about which would be the truck specs. 2WD, AWD, Ford Powered or LS Powered and all of the meaty details we're salivating for.

LMFAO Mike. I didn't read the whole thread. Damn Bubba Kush really gets the imagination going. I was brought up to speed by a friend of yours last night shortly after I posted. I had to ping him and get the scoop because I didn't read the whole thread. JFC lol
