STAGE 4 TRACKING

STAGE 4: SAN JUAN > CHILECITO

Connection 211km | Special Stage 657km | Total 868km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The strategy of the motorcyclists will come into play: initially their navigational skills will be seriously tested at the beginning of the morning, and then they will be faced with the problem of worn tyres, as they have already been over-used the day before. As for the drivers of cars, they will have an even more demanding route to tackle in the countryside. The Dakar’s competitors haven’t faced a special stage this long since the historical one from Zouerat to Tichit in 2005! They will have to cross rivers, descend the canyons in a Wild West setting and beware of the other participants: as these terrains are often wide open, it will be entirely possible to overtake fellow competitors.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Slept in today and almost missed the whole stage.

Go Robby!!!

TOG, is Chat working? It does not show up on my menu bar!

chat was working but it was taken down for technical reasons. if you would've popped it out, it might still be working for you?

I think that subject is 'closed' unfortunately.

Big shake up in the bikes today. Barreda/Honda started 1st today and was leading overall but is down 18 min nearing
today's finish. Garcia/Sherco started 43rd and is leading but almost a minute having caught Chaleco's KTM. Despres'
Yamaha is 8 min back with Coma's KTM ahead of him by 2 min. Barreda started first this morning, got turned around
for a couple of minutes and his day has gone down hill from there but may remain in the top 5 overall.

Roma thru wp11

checkin in, thank god the tracker is working so I can review the stage....

Sainz is rippin', might physically pass Roma by the ASS.

He's gonna tear him a new what???

I belive the devil is chasing "El Matador"..... pedal a fondo!!!
