STAGE 5 TRACKING

STAGE 5: CHILECITO > TUCUMAN

Connection 384km | Special Stage 527km | Total 911km

COURSE OVERVIEW

After two race days with completely separate routes, everyone will gather together to tackle the longest stage of the rally. They will need to be extremely resistant to overcome these two sections of the special stage which will primarily feature sand. All day long the competitors will make headway on off-piste sections: those who have poorly assessed the limits of their engine will constantly be on the verge of overheating and all the more so, as the region’s temperatures are generally very high. At the bivouac in Tucuman, the candidates for the podium will have been whittled down to a select few, as many of them will no longer be a part of this elite group. For many others, their timing and mechanical mishaps will only become apparent in the middle of the night.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Peterhansel first to WP4

Peter Pan through WP4

Nassar had a problem!!
So will he quit now?

At mileage point 162.79 , the track bifurcates into the west. Several biker gangs among the more capes if there are wrong there are a few several decades of minutes ... It is the turn of Orlando Terranova and Carlos Sainz to lose ... They abandon here a lot of time ...

Sorry for the poor translation from French. That said the french langauge site is way faster

To me this means that there is a few riders and drivers lost including Sainz and Terranova

Coma got lost bad in the bikes as well

If all the animals on the equator were capable of flattery, then Thanksgiving and Halloween would fall on the same date.

Not only do the french have faster report times they also gave much better maps to peckerhandler

lets see how this plays out

site is acting funny

He seems to have had no problem getting through the area everyone else is lost in.

11:16 Cars: Sainz and Terranova off course
Just after the 162 km point, the tracks head west. Several bikers, including some of the most experienced took the wrong turn around ten minutes ago. Now Orlando Terranova and Carlos Sainz have done the same and have lost a significant amount of time.

Guessing this is after WP4
