STAGE 5 TRACKING

STAGE 5: CHILECITO > TUCUMAN

Connection 384km | Special Stage 527km | Total 911km

COURSE OVERVIEW

After two race days with completely separate routes, everyone will gather together to tackle the longest stage of the rally. They will need to be extremely resistant to overcome these two sections of the special stage which will primarily feature sand. All day long the competitors will make headway on off-piste sections: those who have poorly assessed the limits of their engine will constantly be on the verge of overheating and all the more so, as the region’s temperatures are generally very high. At the bivouac in Tucuman, the candidates for the podium will have been whittled down to a select few, as many of them will no longer be a part of this elite group. For many others, their timing and mechanical mishaps will only become apparent in the middle of the night.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Thanks for keeping track of the Phantom of the Dakar.

For the most part, win a stage, have crap luck the following day. Sousa, Sainz and Peterhansel. Roma is the only one to have moderate success the day after. Which is why at WP5 he is a 37+ minute lead in the overall.

Dakar is awesome.

MM ,no $ is not the reason. If I had to guess, up for the second half

but $$4$4 is reason for everything....teacher says so.

Gordon third 18,44 behind YEEAAAHHH

Tracker I have has no mention of any person named Devillers

2nd place!

De Villiers is second, we can't see him, but he is there

3rd DeVillers is 10:33 down to Roma in 2nd

Robby in #2.....Yes

RG third 18min44 behind Nani Roma.

Mornin gang. checkin in for a quickie. Looks like RG & KW are having a good run today. Good for them
