STAGE 5 TRACKING
STAGE 5: CHILECITO > TUCUMAN
Connection 384km | Special Stage 527km | Total 911km
COURSE OVERVIEW
After two race days with completely separate routes, everyone will gather together to tackle the longest stage of the rally. They will need to be extremely resistant to overcome these two sections of the special stage which will primarily feature sand. All day long the competitors will make headway on off-piste sections: those who have poorly assessed the limits of their engine will constantly be on the verge of overheating and all the more so, as the region’s temperatures are generally very high. At the bivouac in Tucuman, the candidates for the podium will have been whittled down to a select few, as many of them will no longer be a part of this elite group. For many others, their timing and mechanical mishaps will only become apparent in the middle of the night.
The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

I just got to work, Carlos and Peter- both with navigation issues?
Yes sir and Terranova too.. Nasser got stuck in the dunes..twice
TY
PeterPuller must have thought he was in a circle jerk LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only 1 out of 4 have navigated wp4 to wp5 correctly. I sure hope Robby follows the single tracks and not the others.
Nani Roma has put in a good performance so far today, since on completion of the first half of the special stage, he boasts a lead of 10’33' over second placed driver Giniel de Villiers. However already 32’39' separate him from his nearest team-mate Nasser Al-Attiyah and 34’22' from Stéphane Petehansel. It will be worse still for Carlos Sainz who is about to arrive at the end of the first half.
The Hummer of Robby Gordon advanced to the third place provisional down 18 ' 44" of Nani Roma.
So it's Roma - DeVillers - Gordon at WP 5.
French notes says DeVillers is 10 minutes down in second. DeVillers tracker has not worked these last two days
