STAGE 6 TRACKING

STAGE 6: TUCUMAN > SALTA

Connection 270km | Special Stage 424km | Total 694km

COURSE OVERVIEW

Once they have left Tucuman, the cars will head north and drive along part of the renowned Ruta 40, and continue on in the heart of one of Argentina’s most beautiful landscapes. The possibilities to widen the gap will be limited but the most skilled drivers may be able to seize the opportunity of adding a stage to their list of wins. A new trip to the mountains will take motorcyclists to the banks of the rivers. They will have to remain vigilant until the very end of the stage as the region is frequented to a great extent by animals of all sizes. Then they will finally be able to rest.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Just wondering if there is any chance to appeal that penalty since it seems ASO has been having trouble with their waypoint tracking?

Pretty much everyone did, thats why it took so long for the results to come out. Remember that ASO has a very accurate gps that we don't get to see on each vehicle.

Thanks for the update, hard to follow at work the last few days but off work today.

Drive it like you stole it today tomorrow is rest day. I still say to protest this impetuous decision.

Missed WP 2 yesterday.. got a one hour penalty.

Here are the facts:

At WP 1 Robby was :26 behind Drabrowski physically on course.
At WP 3 Robby was :27 behind Drabrowski physically on course.

Not sure if he was in his dust the whole time. If he was Drabrowski hit WP2.. why didn't Robby? Irregardless there was no advantage gained physically on course between WP1 & 3. Appeal!! Where's my Rally for Robby Jim Beam shirt?

Not going to be able to follow today but I hope RG hauls the mail all the way to the top step.

Good morning, I had a dream last nigh ;)) Today team Michelin is going to help TEAM TOYO!!!

I've got no problem with penalty for missing WP if it's applied fairly to everyone. Despite Robby, Nasser, Carlos and others getting stitched, nothing for Peterhansel despite his interview post stage, per Dakar site....

'Probably today it was the hardest stage since we have been in South America, since the last five years. It was not easy. There was a lot of off-track camel grass and also the navigation was not easy, so we lost a lot of time because we didn't find a way point, but at least we are here at the finish.'

Hmmm....

Maybe he meant couldn't find a waypoint and in translation came out didn't. Or maybe not, he seems to be the favored son of the ASO.

If they were playing favorites why give Depres a 1 hour penalty? He is their boy on 2 wheels afterall.

Please stop these BS !

Good point, I was thinking of the river crossing non penalty of last year.

robby and nesser need to kick there fucking ass (ASO)
