STAGE 8: SALTA > CALAMA

Connection 510km | Special Stage 302km | Total 812km

COURSE OVERVIEW

Today the competitors will cross the Andes Cordillera, to begin the Chilean part of the rally. A special transition stage has been marked out there for the last day that cars will progress without overtaking motorcycles and quad bikes. The timed section of the day will be accessible to skilled drivers who are at ease on fast tracks in a closed environment. Drivers are advised to pay attention to their position from the outset to limit the number of overtaking manoeuvres, even though the strict standards regarding the use of the Sentinel system will be carefully monitored at the end of the day.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

HE needs to do his own trick like a back flip or something unique

BJ is that pathetic chick at the party wanting so bad to be Hot! , She's not... Every time he opens his yap he comes off like the BIGGEST WANNABE . BJ ...enough said

Do not throw too much mud the Rally Raid is not over yet. BJ has been improving.

Well he did get a 1 hour penalty, and lost 1000 euro's after the stage today.

What's up with that? Come on BJ if your going to try an show Rocket Rob up you better puts some wings on that lame effort.

So what time is Robby off tomorrow. I'm liking there sorting things out most excellent!!!

Didn't get a chance to be around the computer for today's stage but I'm glad he had a great run today, Robby must have passed a ton of cars on the course today and can't wait to see the stage recap video.

Just wondering, but what was the issue with scoring? Was there a reason for an hour difference or were the trackers just screwed up and the timing officials fixed the problem?

I will snore with a smile on my face tonight, thanks all that make this ride happen!

Well, that just made my day! I was bummed when I left work.
Looking forward to tomorrow,,, hopefully trackers are accurate.

Good thing I was too busy today to grow an ulcer over the phantom hour...
Glad it's been corrected and RG has a 2nd great stage.
Had to change my pic in honor of the upcoming Sno-Drift Rally

Just got home and haven't read the thread yet but it looks like there were some horrifying tracking issues for RG today that have been resolved in a positive way. I too wonder how many cars he passed today. Top ten finish. Can't complain. Looking forward to tomorrow. Hope someone has a camera on the downhill section at the end of the stage.. time for RG to open it up!

way cool - the mystery hour disappears!
