STAGE 11 TRACKING

STAGE 11: ANTOFAGASTA > EL SALVADOR

Connection 144km | Special Stage 605km | Total 749km

COURSE OVERVIEW

In addition to the distance, here the competitors will be put to the test by all the difficulties offered by the Atacama Desert… and will have to display all the qualities required for off-road races. After the mine tracks and the many rivers to cross, the competitors will have to distinguish themselves in the heart of the Dunes of Copiapo: the fastest motorcyclists are expected to spend seven hours behind the wheel. Needless to say that on this decisive day there will be no shortage of opportunities for competitors to make a winning comeback in the race. This will be the key stage of the 2014 edition.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Map gave me a headache but red is -4 correction to GMT then correct for DST of one hour so El Salvador should have a three hour correction to greenwich and a three hour correction to eastern.

I think you have it off by an hour; EST is -5, MST (my home camp is -7.
Try this: http://www.worldtimezone.com/

I am mst as well

one hour est -5 cst,-6 mst -7 pst -8 difference _-2/-3/-4/-5

just got home missed last hour or so whats going on

What's going on is that everyone is continuing to wonder what's going on.

maybe just forget about the waypoints and get there, be a lot faster. penalty's doesn't matter now

It's just sunset here on the West coast, and they are 4 hours ahead of us, which would make it something like 8:30 there now. But it's summer there, so they still have about 2 hours of daylight left. And the full moon of course.

I'd carry on with my evening at this point,JMO

Looks like the 2014 Dakar Rally is over for Team SPEED.They are going to run out of time.

not what i wanted to hear
