COURSE OVERVIEW

In addition to the distance, here the competitors will be put to the test by all the difficulties offered by the Atacama Desert… and will have to display all the qualities required for off-road races. After the mine tracks and the many rivers to cross, the competitors will have to distinguish themselves in the heart of the Dunes of Copiapo: the fastest motorcyclists are expected to spend seven hours behind the wheel. Needless to say that on this decisive day there will be no shortage of opportunities for competitors to make a winning comeback in the race. This will be the key stage of the 2014 edition.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

NO---I hate to hear this TOG. RG has been as persistent as a combination Badger-Wolverine. I hate this for RG and the team as they worked so hard

My guess is they never re-started the stage and will let the clock timeout, thus DQing them from the race vs. formally withdrawing. Then they can follow the event the next few days to the finish.I believe the Brenthal crew has been doing this since withdrawing their buggy.

They tried right up until the end to get it fixed, but just got the call from the crew that time is up.

That sucks. Onto the other desert races this year to improve the HST. 2014 was a noble effort for such a new truck; 2015 should bring more luck.

Started when they were supposed to go early in the stage, but only made it to KM18 before the fuel issue.
