Join in and discuss the FINAL stage of the 2014 Dakar Rally. Thanks to everyone for supporting the team and the planet. It's been a tough few weeks, and hopefully we'll be here in 2015 to do it all again!

"Stéphane Peterhansel has stopped at km 133 to wait for the other drivers on the provisional podium, future winner Nani Roma and future third-placed driver Nasser Al-Attiyah. The three Minis will cross the finish line together in this order. The three cars got underway again mirroring the general classification."

way to ruin a race.

Yep should race. Best man wins not team orders. Peterhansel should be gone from the Mini camp for next year. Who would blame him?

I don't see him leave, I think he has benefited more from team orders than hurt by them.

2015 Dakar: Red Bull sponsored factory-backed Citroën team with Sebastien Loeb and Peterhansel.

That will be interesting.

I'm pretty sure he eluded to this being his last year with mini in an earlier interview.

Lot's of teams have done this a Le Mans after the race has been settled. With teams come team orders. I'd like to see the ASO limit team size for future editions. Maybe limit size to 2 car teams like F1 does or 4 car teams like NASCAR. Frankly I think 4 car teams give those teams too much of an advantage. I'd like to see it limited to 2.

This is why I just couldn't get into the last couple of days of the Dakar. The ASO should be pissed with this situation IMO

ok .... team orders , let Holowdzxw win a stage Roma you win overall Peterpicker your second , Nasser we're sorry we didn't tell you we moved the wp beacon after Stefany went thru, better luck next year . team raid

It does take the excitement out of it, I thought peter didn't like "showmanship"

at least there's a race of sorts in trucks
