If people don't add cash to the Planet, I don't think they a are real fan of RG, are they?

I mean, $5 a month? How hard is that for a person with a paycheck? If you can afford more, give more. Then proceed with your rant. Keeping the Planet going is what's important to us fans.

Fun days, racefans getting together for the race. Wish we could go it more (and yes I have made numerous donations)

I miss those days too.

We'll fire it up for the Daytona 500.

I'm kinda amazed this discussion is still raging. I guess I don't get it. Some folks just like to argue, I guess.

Me? I'm just looking forward to Sebring. Call me weird. I miss going down there to get warm in March.

Let it go, let it go...lol. Somebody is guilty..lol

That is what I was trying to suggest...

We need 200 posts.........While we are on the Stock Car racing subject for the forseeable future I was wondering if anybody would kindly lift the curtain and send me a private message as to which active member is really Danica Patrick? I know it's not a certain few. As per any real chance at a race in "the world of my own making" it will be a Childress prepared chassis....one of Robbys own rollers if there are any that are not that far away from being a real racer. as far as the cash would go to do so I could never guess. It makes all the sense in the world (credit to WJM) that any sponsorship would go into the SST...or dakar...or Dakar before it would be poured into a one and done weekend road rally. The Buffalo auto show is this Weekend Richard Childress is supposed to be there, I don't what they will charge to see him, shake his hand, have him write his name on a sheet of cardboard, pose for a photo, actualy talk to you, or if I missed any other function he may perform. I don't even know if I'm going these things are not shows they are commercials. For the record it shows no fee listed and that does not mean its free. Reggie Jackson "STARTS" at 89 bucks some old Buffalo Bills are 5 bucks ......What is it worth to say Right to Richard Childress' "Mr. Childress......how much will it cost for a weekend lease for your shop to prep a car for Watkins Glen for Robby Gordon......one of his chassis or yours.....? Shit I'll make a scene...a fool i'll be. the van will take me there..............well..................? Robby Gordons Employees I would risk to guess are not what you need to prep a road coarse car for CUP. How many from the stock car days are prepping SST trucks I could not guess. I'm just "Some guy" with spurts of normality ecased in a matrix of wild and vivid visions of a greater existance of peace and harmony darkened by the stark reality that the world is anything but.............thus the spurts. However being in one now I can honestly say my belief is that it would be in a car prepared by Childress racing in what form of finance who knows. But if you think Robby would not or does not want to drive one of those races again your crazy. who would not? Fun and Brand exposure SST/Speed.

LMAO. Good one Michael.

I have a very strong feeling he will be a part of NASCAR in some way in the near future!!!

all us old guys remember all the stuff we used to do to support RG on Sunday and frankly I miss that. Who remembers Nascar's vote a guy-in for the scanner feed each week? We used to kill it thanks to Fly's computer script. They're be Slider's pre race report - my favorite, Tog's radio blog, Vote for RG for the All Star race, Save RG campaigns, fight Nascar over Nose Gate campaign, the #55 piece of shit laughs we had....I go on. The point is, Nascar created a close RG community that I very much enjoyed and miss. Dakar temorarily fills that gap, but nothing beats a week to week buzz.

Slider...out.

+1

Funny you mention community but what about family ? The thing your all forgetting is it is OFFROAD racing that got Robby started . The entire Gordon family's roots are offroad racing . Not nascar , not road racing , OFFROAD ! . From Robby's grandfather to Baja Bob to Robby and hopefully on down to Max . Even Robby's sisters have dabbled their toes in the silt . IMO the Gordon family is to offroad what the Pettys are to NASCAR . It was a good run in NASCAR but in all honesty it took away from what is Robby's true passion , OFFROAD racing .
