No , that was at the Glen, but it also was a roller coaster day.

No. This was the race where Robby had a huge lead (like several seconds)...Tony Stewart was in 2nd place and pitted. Robby was stretching his fuel for his last stop. Bobby Labonte spun and brought out the caution right after Robby passed pit row. Everyone pitted and Robby restarted near the back. He got caught up in some wrecks. He had the fastest car hands down. He drove away from the field.

I remember listening on the scanner. As he passed pit row, his crew chief told him "pit next time"....everyone was pitting behind him. Had Labonte not spun and Robby pitted he would have started lapping the field. Strongest car I've ever seen at a roadie not win. When the caution came out, the in-car camera showed Robby banging the steer wheel and his head hung down. The crew chief came on the radio and Robby cut him off "Shut Up! Don't talk to me right now." (Robby wanted to pit that time, but his crew chief wanted 1 more lap for G-W-C).I'm no crew chief, but I kept thinking at the moment pit with Tony. You'll have caution laps and can save fuel.
Many people would say Robby was his own worst crew chief, but many times Robby went against his own intuition and with the crew chief and it cost him...this was one of those days.
Dang that car was bad fast.
