Not sure if this has been posted already, but in the spirit of getting ready for Dakar 2105, check this record attempt by Chicherit.

Looks like needed more SPEED !!!!

Wow! What a piece! Breathtaking! So glad he walked away!

GoPros everywhere.Guerlain's eyes get huge when he's mid air. What great footage! I felt this one.

I get that Guerlain is his own brand of excitement, and that there's something to gain by performing such stunts, but I don't want to see him do it again. I don't want to see him die.

Seems like once you start launching a vehicle that far, you need some type of in flight wing control.

Guerlain and others from the Dakar world need to have an SST race. I'm sure they see SST as building Robby's brand/enterprise. I wish they would value the benefit for themselves too.

The big dollar race teams loose sight of the driver. Yes, fans appreciate top notch equipment and teams, but fans like to know what's going on in the driver's seat. They want to know the drivers. They want to know about the rivalries, the friendships, the "no love" relationships. Ultimately, people are most interested in people.

SST is more about the driver, and less about the equipment, the teams, the deep pockets. This is one of the things that makes SST so unique.

SST could have a race in Europe or South America. It would fuel the rivalries between the Dakar drivers. SST highlights drivers and their amazing skills. It's serious racing, but it's not as serious (not yet anyway) as the race series you come from.

Robby should consider having an SST race in the Middle East, perhaps Saudi Arabia. He could gather the elite Marathon Rally racers. I don't know quite how to make money with this, but the idea is create these exciting driver's races, not only in the US, but around the world. The idea is for these drivers to really race, fuel rivalries and friendships, and show off amazing skills.

But then, I could just go back to watching motocross...

I give him credit. He made the distance. But who ever made the welds on that roll cage sure knows their business.
