Robby Gordon will run in the 2014 Vegas To Reno race on Friday, August 15. Qualifying is on Wednesday, August 13. Gordon will run the Gordini, and will have the opportunity to put many race miles on the truck prepping for the 2015 Dakar Rally. We will have raceday chat and full coverage.

I'm pissed. I was in Vegas all day yesterday and had no idea the Gordini was runnin' the race. My only shot to see the Gordini in person.

I know there are technical hurdles, but the day is coming when following a desert race online will be a full experience.
Maybe someday all the cars will have in-car cameras - whoever wants to maybe. The driver or the team could shut off the camera if they feel they need to. Perhaps they are about to bump the guy in front of them and they prefer not to broadcast it.
Right now it cost too much money to create live feeds. But someday it will be inexpensive. MavTV already mounts a live feed camera in one or two of the motocross bikes.
But then that's for a 20-30 min motocross moto, on a closed course. Bigger problems arise when considering camera feeds on a 500 mi, one way race course. I still say the day will come.
