Thought you Planeteers might like to see what's been going on on RDC . A few of you already know as I've seen you there bleeding the orange and black like me but for those who haven't seen it yet here's a link

You guys are correct, 2014 has been a disaster for our race team it's amazing how when you don't win people forget so fast. I guess we just have to worker harder and smarter huh. I was thinking a 1/2 day 7 days a week was enough? just so you know we count a half day as 12 hrs.

Dakar
Vapor Lock blown engine due to running lean. = DNF
Maybe a team problem and due to testing in the Fall won't happen again I will take responsibility personally for this as last year was tough building 23 SST Trucks but we still won Parker and Baja 500 as well as building a series.

With all these DNF's one time has it been my guys prep jobs? And maybe all of them are mine trying to go too fast (just kidding) I feel our cars are as nice as anything in the Desert or short course, it was a year ago that we schooled everyone at Parker for 3 years straight 2 wins in RGM Truck oh wait 1 win and 1 DQ for heli and 1 win in a Gieser Trugly

BAJA 500 first Overall pole position last 2 BAJA 500 races

BAJA 1000 finally had a RGM mechanical with a broken Spindle, besides this the DNF's are outside parts of RGM and we will continue to push the Developement of OFF ROAD and set the stage for Speed

So for 2013 we have 66% win rate in the Desert 2 wins 3 races

So 2012 win rate 50% win rate 4 wins 8

I will take these odds anytime at Vegas

I have a great race team and Sponsors like Speed, Toyo, 4 Wheel Parts, Safty Clean, Techni, Torchmate, Hass CNC, Mac Tools, Menards, Freightliner many more and couldn't do it without the guys and girls on this team that helps us grow the sport we all love, everyone is right all that matters is winning and we are the only team that has wins in Score and BITD and Dakar Special wins in our own cars.......... Not Voss, BJ, Menzies, Jones or anyone else can say this.

See you guys at the Baja 1000 and we will be there guns blazing

Bummer some of you think I'm Arrogant but in reality it's just confidence and the fans I, we have we love and they are just as passionate as me.

Simple as that! I believe him, don't you? But then, maybe that's what EV told him, and Guerlain just nodded, "Wewe, okay with me!"

Do you guys know, who is the one confirmed driver for EV? Is it BJ? Is it Guerlain? Or is it someone else?

Not trying to be a smart ass, Eric (himself) is the only confirmed EVR driver. Hence pimping EVR #2

Well this is how rumors get started. Someone takes a comment out of context and the whole picture changes. Robby is the one that knows what is going on. He did not get there by playing guessing games. Everyone needs to be patient and support the Team. Like he said it will be a Team. Numbers are the best way to have help & knowledge. of what is going on. We are followers and support him. But let him run his race.

Well, Robby is sure telling us good stuff, that's for sure. I love it! I love how fast the Gordini was in the Vegas to Reno race. I love that he's confirmed that the Gordini is faster than the Hummers.

I looked at the X-Raid Mini site tonight. These guys seem to be running regularly in marathon type rallies. They might be running in a series. It looks like they typically enter more than one car. In a recent even they entered seven cars!

In other words, what X-Raid brings to Dakar is a well oiled machine. This makes a huge difference.

But then, Robby's and crew train here in the States. They train and evolve the program with SST, Baja, V2R, etc.

The Mini's were solid last year, but the Gordini of today does look to be podium capable. If last year was not so bad, I would speak more boldly. To me, in the Dakar world, Robby has a little re-proving to do. My bet is that Robby will do exactly that!

Biggest thing to remember ( and a lot of people don't ) is that the Mini team is a FACTORY team while Robby funds this entire thing out of his pocket , They've got 10 vehicles to Robby's 2 ( if he's lucky ) , and they've got all these other rallies they do to use for testing . Basically it boils down to Robby has to bust his balls with hard work ( which he does with pride ) while the Mini guys just drive . KICK ASS ROBBY !!! We know you will regardless of the outcome .

Trust me they don't give him near enough to cover the whole expense ! Yes they help a lil but majority of the money is Robby's bank acct . Compare the money BMW spends vs what Robby spends

No not small potatoes but put it this way for every $ 100 Robby can spend BMW can spend $1000 . Every racing venture Robby does is HIS money being spent . Sponsors as good as they are only offset a percentage of the actual cost to run . It's the same in ANY form of racing from the local dirt track racer to NASCAR to formula 1 and everything in between .

There wasn't a 2008 Dakar ... it was canceled ... Robby claimed a $4.5 million loss.
