SST 1/18th Scale RC Trucks? New?

Anyone seen this SST 1/18th scale LaTrax trucks before? I know they are low end but a great Christmas gift for a lucky kid.

I have a 10 and 7 year old. We have two Slash trucks and they can handle them well. These little guys might be fun however.

They are great lil trucks and them being smaller makes them perfect for indoor use as well . As always if ya have any questions just give me a holler.

I wanted one, out of stock at Traxxas online, not available locally...went with a RG Slash. Really liked the price and 4wd for the little guys, oh well.

No prob like I said I'm always here for RC questions , I've been in the hobby for 30+ years . I'm pretty much the RC guru here on the planet lol . If I were you I'd get the SST now as they also have alotta sales going on for Christmas. If you order by tomorrow you can even get free shipping , but there's all kinds of deals going on til Christmas just a matter of what day you order since they're called DAILY DEALS .

Both are great trucks , you really can't go wrong with either . Especially since both are the same company . Latrax is just an off-shoot company of Traxxas . The SST is a little smaller than the Slash and the Slash has been out longer so it has more aftermarket accessories but I'm sure the SSTs will too as they become more popular . The Slash has the better motor and electronics but the SST has better chassis design making easier to work on . Basically it boils down to personal preference . Being only around a 40-50 dollar difference I myself would go with the SST just for the simple fact it's a SST replica .

Both trucks can break , hell any RC truck is prone to breakage it's just part of the fun . The biggest difference tween a hobby grade truck and toy grade ( RC you can buy at Walmart or KMart ) is that hobby grade RCs can be rebuilt , repaired and modified . That being said it is easier to get replacement parts for the Slash right now cause the SST is so new . I still prefer the SSTs looks over the Slash but that's purely estectics . With a few body mods you can easily make the Slash look like a SST .
