STAGE 2 TRACKING

STAGE 2: VILLA CARLOS PAZ > SAN JUAN

Connection 107km | Special Stage 518km | Total 625km

COURSE OVERVIEW

Any rest will be short-lived, because before reaching San Juan, the competitors will have a particularly busy schedule: quite simply the longest special stage in the rally, which is varied enough to unsettle even the most experienced of drivers. Hard terrain at the start of the race will be followed by dusty sections in the middle of the day and a sandy stretch to finish. This is the first real test, which can only be successfully overcome through constant vigilance.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Can. Not Wait.

Way to go !!

3 refueling stops for bikes and quads. 6 battery changes for the electric car.

Steady wins the race. Too early for taking risks. Let the others make mistakes.

Hey TOG, I need you to call these pricks and push back the start until about 0700 PST. Sweet, thanks bro...

The team of two Women in car 422 currently sit 128th...... what else can a person say GAS ON see you in a few hours lets roll.

So….. 7 spots ahead of the defending champion :-)

sheeeesh 322 miles of SS ... that's gona hurt !

A lot of these european rally events run 2 or 3 hours. This long stage might be an advantage to someone who can solo at baja for 14 hours. Do we know anyone like that? :-)

Penalized two minutes in the evening for speeding, Nasser Al-Attiyah eventually loses his victory in the first stage of the Dakar and first place overall to match. The Mini driver fall to seventh place in the provisional and leaves Orlando Terranova lead the rally.... Robby Gordon 2nd... !!!
