STAGE 2 TRACKING

STAGE 2: VILLA CARLOS PAZ > SAN JUAN

Connection 107km | Special Stage 518km | Total 625km

COURSE OVERVIEW

Any rest will be short-lived, because before reaching San Juan, the competitors will have a particularly busy schedule: quite simply the longest special stage in the rally, which is varied enough to unsettle even the most experienced of drivers. Hard terrain at the start of the race will be followed by dusty sections in the middle of the day and a sandy stretch to finish. This is the first real test, which can only be successfully overcome through constant vigilance.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Ouch

think 318 will be able to continue?

if they pull an all night'r and help in the biv ;-)

You can't win Dakar with just one car.... you have to have a water carrier if you really want a legit chance to win. No one try's harder than Robbie but another car could possibly kept him in the hunt. Just another heartbreak for RG fans :(

You voiced my opinion, which is just that, an opinion. A 2nd car that could provide support would be a big help on stages like this. Who would Robbie have to get as a sponsor to afford that?

Who's Robbie, and do you remember how much these guys help'd? BJ Baldwin,Eliseo and Nasser?
I'll help ,none

Exactly, not a damn bit. And Nasser cost him time

It would have to be a "teammate". Not a guy who buys his ride like Nasser. He is only interested in his self. Maybe if Speed Energy got bigger they could hire a teammate to drive. Someone with hopes of possibly driving for a Dakar team, maybe Campbell or Street?

You have completed the stage for Carlos Sainz, the longest stage of the rally has been quite difficult for Peugeot. Carlos Sainz finished in eighth place today, has not been spared of a shock. And is that Madrid has hit a motorist driving in the opposite direction to be lost, which could not dodge . The motorist who has not been severely damaged, was treated first by Carlos Sainz and Lucas Cruz, something that delayed six minutes from time special.
"It was a hard and long stage. We shot well until quenos we found a motorcycle in the opposite direction. We lost some time in the incident, but then we recovered. "
Sainz and co-driver also Spanish Lucas Cruz , got out of the car to help the motorist, who was not injured seriously . After resuming the march, Sainz crossed the finish line in tenth place , nearly 27 minutes behind the winner. Shortly after finishing the stage, the Peugeot team complained to the Organization for them to return the invested in the help Biker time after being investigated by the organizers, we have subtracted from Carlos Sainz six minutes of your time end.

This one car deal is not good for Robby, he needs someone to finance a second car. It is very difficult without race support, look at the minis, toyotas, at least three cars. Even the argentine Renault team, spataro, has a team-mate thst can sacrifice his position and car to help his team.

Did Robby not meet with Matt Campbell (356 ElMartillo) this summer to strike up a partnership of sorts for their 2015 effort?
