STAGE 2 TRACKING

STAGE 2: VILLA CARLOS PAZ > SAN JUAN

Connection 107km | Special Stage 518km | Total 625km

COURSE OVERVIEW

Any rest will be short-lived, because before reaching San Juan, the competitors will have a particularly busy schedule: quite simply the longest special stage in the rally, which is varied enough to unsettle even the most experienced of drivers. Hard terrain at the start of the race will be followed by dusty sections in the middle of the day and a sandy stretch to finish. This is the first real test, which can only be successfully overcome through constant vigilance.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Caliper is up inside the wheel and at the rear end housing height .RDZ coincedence

Vapor lock/fuel intake seems to be the issues that caused him to stop on Stage 2 just before the finish requiring a tow.

Nice speculation, but NOT according to Robby's NBCSports interview that aired today.Just say'n

I got that info from the show I watched today on NBC Sports. They mentioned that then showed a picture of him being towed in. But.....that info did not come out of RG's mouth. It came from the broadcasting crew on NBC Sports.

Do you recall Robby saying the clutch was locked up and the engine wouldn't turn over?being stuck? 16min mark of the episode that air'd today.

What my ears heard as well, plus a little "beating".

Hey Dustin - Everyone I spoke to on the team yesterday and today said no vapor lock issues.in stage 2. Perhaps the NBC guys may have been speculating? I dunno.

It must have been the NBC guys point of view. Sorry all for the incorrect info.

So did RG get stuck in the sand on Day 2 and that burnt the clutch? From NBC that seems to be the case. Hate to say it but I feel better about that, than a simple care malfunction. It sucks, but those things happen.

any chance to have a link to NBCs broadcast please ?
