For as long as I have been following RG and off-roading it always seems there are issues with tracking drivers. Their units don't respond, get damaged don't report etc?

Is there only one company that does this? Who are they? IRC? Are they the partner for SCORE?

Are their devices included in the entry fee costs or are all drivers required by SCORE to have these devices installed and deal directly with the company that provides them?

Is the cost a one-time cost per race or one time upfront cost with a monthly fee.

What is the cost?

What racers are required to use the tracking devices? Cars, Trucks, ATV's, UTV's, etc?

This is all GPS using cached map overlays - correct?

Are there rules regarding the tracking device to be used and how it is set up with settings or is it just a dumb device with no api's?

Im interested in learning more about this.

To me it sounds like there are two 'sides' to the unit; the one officials at SCORE can see/access, and the other is a public/free side-which doesn't sound like it's too high on their priority list to improve on.
