I disagree. Especially about the non-existent part. Negativity is just that.
Feel free to criticize and question. However, in fairness, please provide us a self-assessment of your career and business achievements and let us compare (and judge).
Success is not due to the absence of problems, it's the ability to deal with them.
+1
BricoopIt looks like one of those ... faith-based belief forums ... maybe the non-existent NASCAR gods are angry at me ... jeje
In the state it is, John ... but not locally
+1 MJ... IMO.. I think we all hope for a multi car run at Dakar. If not; sit back, crack a beer and watch robby give it one hell of a run!!!!! Gas on RGM or whatever you wanna call them Sandi lol jk. Dakar 16 dreaming
Wow! What a nice video.

The quality/cost of that video alone, tells you what we are up against.
Nasser and the 4wd Mini is still the car to beat at the Dakar. The 4wd platform, specifically the X-Raid Mini, will likely dominate for the next couple of years as well.
I honestly think that Peugot is pursuing the 2wd platform because they have witnessed the popularity of Robby's efforts.
- - They see that the 2wd cars are more fun to watch.
- - They see that they can grow here, make noteworthy improvements each year, tell a great story in doing it. This opportunity is not the same in the 4wd arena.
It is going to be very very tough for Robby to beat these guys. I know it's been argued that Robby has plenty of money and that we should not keep crying poor. Please allow me to "cry poor" one more time, because there is no way that Robby spends as much money on his cars as Pug is spending right now. It's not even close! Pug has a whole automotive engineering department that this car is coming out of. A portion of the money invested here, helps Pug build more rugged offroad capable SUV's. They can honestly shove portions of the cost of the race car onto the cost of developing their production cars. Heck, the whole Dakar effort plays into the return-on-investment into selling production cars.
Robby is in business too. In some ways he juggles money similar to Pug. It's just on a much smaller scale, and it's a completely different money game.
I'm with BajaReady, whatever Robby does in Dakar, let's enjoy it. We already know it's going to be a great show/story/adventure!
Sure we are "here to win!" Sure we want to be on the podium, sure we want top five, or top 10 finishes. If Robby can keep it alive, he will likely run in the top 10. And every day us fans will enjoy the suspense of "Today is our day!"
Here's a cool picture the Telegraph posted yesterday:
