RM426 and 12th
@JR, I helped these guys at RM 348, across from BFG pit, they came back to the pit after leaving, we pulled the hood off, pulled the air box cover and found 2" of silt in the pan around the air filters. The filters were toast and the chase crew was supposed to have been at that pit 3 hours prior.
@Don, all I've been hearing and reading was about the silt. Also that it was the toughest route in years. The #1620 doing what it did and getting a 3rd in class is fantastic ! Now its not news that we were texting but I slept for six hours. How long were you guys up
That was 1062 JR not a 16 car. LOL
22 hrs 28 min. chasing/and pitting the car 4 times.
It all started about 6 a.m. Race Day and didn't hit the sack until 10ish Saturday night.
Do we know what happened to RG between entering the Goat trail and coming back onto the pavement.
i.e. between RM 712 & 750 ?
Rg came out of Valle T as we pulled in for fuel but he never came out @ RM 750 before we did.
