Once again, it's getting close to the start of greatest race in the world, the 2016 Dakar Rally! In the days leading up to the start of stage 1, there will be many events taking place. Robby Gordon is already in Argentina, has picked up the support vehicles and will retrieve the race cars from the airport today (Dec.30). The 2nd team driver, Sheldon Creed, will arrive today as well.
The #TeamSPEED compound will be setup, and work on the vehicles leading up to Scrutineering (Tech inspection). Scrutineering takes place from Dec. 31st to Jan 1st in Buenos Aires. On Jan 2nd, the teams will parade to the 'opening ceremonies ramp' and all the drivers will be introduced. There will be links to the "LIVE TV FEED" available on Jan. 2nd.
Stage 1 begins on Jan. 3rd, 2015. As always, we will have live raceday chat, stage threads, in-action updates, photos, videos, etc. The guys on the crew will also be sending us updates from the frontline.

The 337 Gordian is not listed in competitors on the DAKAR site. Is it still planning to start??
Removed because of Johnny Campbell listed.
They probably just never got around to updating it to Creed/Street. No biggie.

Tomorrow will start with the iconic presentation of all entries at the Technopolis fair grounds in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This will most likely play live on various local TV channels that should be accessible through each networks own streaming service without any DRM blockage. Tune in and enjoy the podium part live.
Each team is assigned a scheduled time to appear on stage. Robby Gordon is scheduled for 08:15 while the Peugeots will appear at 10:30. The local time here is: UTC/GMT -3hours or 5 hours ahead of pacific time.
Afterwards it's a 3h / 296km liaison to Rosario for a quickie special of 11km. (1.6km is approximately 1mile)

Podium, Prologue and night at the “light bivouac” in Rosario
•The podium at Tecnopolis: Following a morning briefing session for the competitors, the podium is not simply for protocol, but will be an integral part of the liaison section leading to the prologue.
•The Prologue: Taking place close to Buenos Aires, the main purpose of this ten kilometre route, which will count towards the general Rally standings, is to establish the starting order for the following day.
•Night at the “light” bivouac in Rosario: After this long day, competitors and their assistance teams will spend the night in Rosario, heading towards Villa Carlos Paz and the first “real” day of the race.
