STAGE 4 TRACKING

STAGE 4: SAN SALVADOR DE JUJUY > SAN SALVADOR DE JUJUY

Connection 201km | Special Stage 418km | Total 619km

COURSE OVERVIEW

Marathon 1: No Mechanics! On many levels, the competitors face their first real test here. The special section takes place at an average of 3,500m altitude, with incessant changes in pace resulting from alternating sandy and rocky terrain. This grueling route will be on the agenda when everyone already has 2,500km in the saddle or bucket seat, which is already exhausting for the lower placed drivers. First and foremost, this is the start of a very particular marathon stage, with a closed area for the vehicles... and for the competitors.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

And BTW, I really have no idea what I am talking about, but am going to DirtFish Rally school in a few months so should know a little more. http://www.dirtfish.com/

@Kevin, a personal invite for you. When you come to DirtFish , make time ,I'll buy the Barley pop's.
DirtFish is here in Snoqualmie Valley, my valley.I know several folks that work there.

Thanks Mike! I'll take you up on it.

I live in Shoreline and work in Redmond so I am not all too far away and can't believe I haven't done it already.

Shit ,you don't have to wait till then. We'll get Roger to join us, It my turn to buy with him.
Where in Redmond?

I work at MSFT in Redmond. Let's make it happen. I should get your guys beers however.

I work in Bellevue,Roger works in the South, After DAKAR

Have to love how many people are in the NW. Over in Seattle myself.

4wd is a big change in the mud, but the suspensions limitations are a big loss when you can open it up. A lot can be made up with tuning but it's hard to replace that extra 10" of travel when you hit a washout.

Pulling through a corner with all 4 wheels also means you can get in trouble a lot faster. :D

@Drone , same offer

I grew up in Federal Way (pre-ghetto), and worked in Redmond for a while. Been away a long time, but stilt' have friends and family in the area. Do a virtual beer for me while you're at it.

I am in! It was about time to have another beer with Mike.

An hour north of Seattle here.

short core off road like Crandon Wi that track starts out wet , even on a dry suuny day Rainy Labor day weekend bring your rain suit
