STAGE 4 TRACKING

STAGE 4: SAN SALVADOR DE JUJUY > SAN SALVADOR DE JUJUY

Connection 201km | Special Stage 418km | Total 619km

COURSE OVERVIEW

Marathon 1: No Mechanics! On many levels, the competitors face their first real test here. The special section takes place at an average of 3,500m altitude, with incessant changes in pace resulting from alternating sandy and rocky terrain. This grueling route will be on the agenda when everyone already has 2,500km in the saddle or bucket seat, which is already exhausting for the lower placed drivers. First and foremost, this is the start of a very particular marathon stage, with a closed area for the vehicles... and for the competitors.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

I cant remember what I did yesterday myself to try and remember what RG and KW did to deserve a penalty. What a bummer. Whats this whole Mulligan thing about and could it be applied to RG and KW?

When I get back to my desk I will study the possible 1h penalties.

Top 10 for Robby and Top 20 for Sheldon----Pretty good day I'd say.

A great day!

Looking forward to tomorrows stage already!

I wonder if RG took his elite driver mulligan today after the penalty was announced and hence why he was pushed back from where he stood overall at the end of yesterday.

IF that were the case, the team would certainly know about it, it's been said they have no idea. Hoping for a mistake on scoring it

Good point.

I'm going to say no-
The penalty looks to be from Stage2 and wasn't accessed until after Stage 3.

That would make sense considering the time, and it took Roma 1hr to get out of a similar situation on his own. Problem is there is footage of others using the tractor and they do not appear to be penalized. Then again it is the NSO and Robby Gordon.
