STAGE 4 TRACKING

STAGE 4: SAN SALVADOR DE JUJUY > SAN SALVADOR DE JUJUY

Connection 201km | Special Stage 418km | Total 619km

COURSE OVERVIEW

Marathon 1: No Mechanics! On many levels, the competitors face their first real test here. The special section takes place at an average of 3,500m altitude, with incessant changes in pace resulting from alternating sandy and rocky terrain. This grueling route will be on the agenda when everyone already has 2,500km in the saddle or bucket seat, which is already exhausting for the lower placed drivers. First and foremost, this is the start of a very particular marathon stage, with a closed area for the vehicles... and for the competitors.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

I noticed in that interview with RG that Kellon was kind of holding his head like "holly crap". It's the part where the cameraman follows Robby to the other side of the car after pointing out how muddy Kellon was. My guess is after being stuck Kellon was telling Robby about the speed limit zones and he ignored them cause he was trying to make time up. Perhaps not knowing the seriousness of what penalty may be enforced. All simply speculation on my part. For god sakes I'm not there in the car so who knows WTF goes on. This is what happens when there is little to no way of knowing anything except for what little video and photos and interviews are being released.

OK here is the good news. Here are the days quotes:

http://www.dakar.com/dakar/2016/us/stage-500/quotes-all.html

Pay attention to Nasser:

"It ain't easy. I did my best to attack, but you just can't keep up with the Peugeots. You had to be careful, it's a marathon stage and you can't change anything apart from the tyres. You can wash the car, but you can't make mistakes... I tried to, but there was no way I could follow Seb. His car is really fast."

He and the rest of the Minis will start to push to catch the Pugs. They will make mistakes and be hard on the equipment. The Pugs have not proven they are reliable yet. The 312 and 337 need to stay consistant and watch these big ego teams kill each other and they are right back in it.

I already hate europeans but now I hate South America fucking farmers

why hate the South America farmers they did nothing wrong

+1

Chill out! I'd much rather get towed out, and penalized an hour, then dig around in that sloppy shit for an hour and ruin my new fucking shoes! Besides I think we got a ruling that it wasn't the tow?

Now if i only could get a ruling on saying fuck?

my 7y/o son reads along with me sometimes.

But has not read today.

THIS!!! Let's keep it family friendly folks.

k, I just donated $20 for having potty mouth!

No worries Rick G. Not a big deal. I get fired up over this stuff all the time. Lots of build up coming into this race:)

Bravo Rick
