STAGE 8 TRACKING

STAGE 8: SALTA > BELEN

Connection 373km | Special Stage 393km | Total 766km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The change of terrain which marks the entry into the second part of the rally should also mark a change in programme for the drivers, who will face the first dune sections of the 2016 edition. Experts in dunes crossing will have an opportunity to demonstrate their skills and even gain an advantage. They will also notice the navigational difficulties which have been introduced this year to complicate their existence. Louds of minutes could be lost by vehicles blocked in the sand.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

i wonder if any one told loeb theirs. a penalty and fines for leaving any of your parts or tires behind

I doubt lobe cares about a penalty at this point. He knows that the overall victory is all but gone for him.

its amazing but hes only about 1h back in the overall

it's good to crash at the end of a stage

Might have better luck going back to Africa and fighting rebels

So just got off the phone with Klaus. RG just got into the Bivouac, Sheldon is over an hour away. It is currently 1:15am there.

RG Burnt up his rear end during the second part of the stage, Creed did get stuck and burnt up his clutch. Sheldon did get hit by another big truck which caused the damage to the rear wheel they were fixing in the picture. Klaus said Robby pulled into the Bivouac and hopped out with a huge smile on his face and was stoked that he got towed by a huge truck on the course at 105kmph, remember this was after a bad day and problems. Cool to hear he is staying super positive and enjoying himself.

Creed did finish but did not go through the rest of the way points so he will be getting a bunch of penalties but will continue on in the race.

Klaus said the Team Speed Support truck with all the tools isnt into the bivouac either so no work has started. Going to be a long long night.

No problema, gas on RG-Creed,.

My kind of thresh. Wish i was there tonight. The kind of effert Creed and Robby put in today has got to have the crew pumped up

Ouch I don't know if I'd want to be a mechanic on team speed tonight!!!

Ah hell who am I kidding of course I would! I'd be using two rocks to get that rear end apart till the truck got their!
I hate the smell of gear oil in the morning!
