STAGE 10 TRACKING

STAGE 10: BELEN > LA RIOJA

Connection 485km | Special Stage 278km | Total 763km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The Fiambala dunes have become one of the decisive stages of the Dakar. This year, they feature at the heart of the most critical rally sequence, when drivers and their vehicles will have to demonstrate their aptitude for extreme endurance. Moreover, the day’s stage presents the longest dune section in the shared history of the Dakar and Fiambala, off-piste for most of the time. In short, an open door for desert specialists.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Are 3 & 4 a check Out check In, right next to each other??

random thought...did the ASO finally rule on that 1 hour penalty from stage 2 yet?

reinstated him the time after he had a terrible stage 6 ,,, think it was 6 anyway.

Brabec 8th today,,, Ian Blythe from 55th to 11th in the bike class,,, go USA

Sweet!! Two of my riding buddies are support for Blythe.

he had a bad time yesterday,,, lost allot of time,,,

Yes.

He is a hell of a rider,,,, surprised he hasn't done a little better,,, he may be support for one of the top dogs as well ,,, Ive not seen that but he doesn't get much press.

Nass lost 20 min from 4 to 5 so RG should start ahead of him tomorrow if all goes well

13:13 : Cars: Sainz at a standstill
The clouds are gathering over Carlos Sainz (Peugeot). The Spaniard, who was already losing over 20 minutes to Stéphane Peterhansel, is reported to have stopped on the dunes near km 213. Is the Dakar being decided before our eyes?

14:01 : Cars: mechanical trouble for Sainz
Carlos Sainz is confirmed to have screeched to a halt. The Spaniard has apparently suffered a mechanical and has been stuck at km 213 of the special for 1 h 45'. Sainz can forget about being crowned in Rosario.

15:03 : Cars: Sainz waiting for help
Carlos Sainz's nightmare isn't over yet. The Peugeot driver had to stop at km 213 due to a broken strut between the engine and the gearbox, and he is now waiting for his assistance crew to get back into the race.

Meanwhile Many other of the top 10 are losing big chunks of time with nothing. no update let alone 3

Imagine that.

Favoritism

I am appalled!!
