STAGE 12 TRACKING

STAGE 12: SAN JUAN > VILLA CARLOS PAZ

Connection 450km | Special Stage 481km | Total 931km

COURSE OVERVIEW

There is more than 900km to cover on the day before the finish, including more than half in the special section, with the exception of the trucks, whose dimensions are not suitable for some of the tracks on the agenda. In this semi-mountainous terrain, the vegetation which lines their edges might be a bit tight for them! This means that the other vehicles will also have to show dexterity. Fans of pure driving will be at ease, but they’ll have to watch out for blunders: at this stage in the game, a mistake could cost them dearly.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Any word on the X-raid appeal of the decision on the Peterhansel fueling issue?

won't happen until after the Rally , probably come spring time

Leaders at wp6, Robby hasn't made it to wp5 yet:/

He made it and passed a mini for 12th so that makes me feel good

It is nice having a special with a bunch of WPs on it so we don't have to wait an hour at a time to see how RG is doing.

I've had some strange days in the desert but?!!!

Bikes: hats off for Duclos

Alain Duclos, twentieth in the overall ranking, has had a very bizarre setback. After a minor fall, the Frenchman removed his helmet to get up and repair his bike. When he was about to resume racing, his helmet had disappeared!!! The Sherco rider has therefore stopped at the side of the tracks after around 290 kilometres and is hoping to find a solution quickly. But what sort of solution? Without his helmet, he cannot resume racing for obvious safety reasons.

Ewoks.

Take off the rear fender and tape it to his head.....

People.... RG has done an awesome job always with the available resources of a private team. I hope sponsorship keeps coming. He deserves it! He is a winner to me !
