Don't let the title fool you. This is interesting conjecture. Please click right about here to be magically whisked from Planet Robby to my page at Race Fans Forever. It's painless and the trip is worth it... at least I hope it is. (Major thanks to Mike Kenyon for "favors received." ☺)

Link doesn't work

Right from the page... raw link.

Sorry, it worked last night.

Audi, huh? The median price of an Audi is around $52,000. See a lot of Audi's in the parking lot of a NASCAR race?

Besides, Volkswagen AG has bigger problems. The FTC filed suit Tuesday for false advertising stemming from the diesel thing which could implicate the Audi brand also. There are several class action lawsuits. Stock price is down over 50% from a year ago. The only thing worse than being a Volkswagen dealer is being a Fiat dealer. Sorry, I just don't see it.

Don't get me wrong I have a soft spot for Volkswagen's - especially the old air heads. I had a '56 Karmann Ghia for a time back in my teens. Most fun you could have driving something with little more horsepower than a lawn tractor. Also spent a few months slumming around Mexico in a '68 van. Good times.

Aha! Baby Boomer! No one else was in a VW mini-bus in 1968. LOL How many windows?
Hey, I don't make this stuff up. I hear it and pass it along. I told you it was all rumor and conjecture. It was still fun to write, and I hope fun to read. If you want hard news, I really can't recommend anyplace to find it. Most of them tell you lies. I just say I don't know. Mostly, we all find out exactly when NASCAR wants us to find out. It's no different with any other sanctioning body except that we have Brian Z. France, and we're aiming to dethrone "Crazy Bernie Ecclestone" as the biggest nut-case in racing.
It's fun to toss around though, isn't it? C'mon, admit it. You're just pullin' on the old lady's chain. ☺☺
