#NASCAR Memorial Day Means More than Just Racing

Good day Planeteers! With the big Holiday weekend close upon us, it's time for my annual rant on the meaning of Memorial Day and our National Anthem. This is a piece I highly recommend that you read, and when you're done, let your children read it.

It's well illustrated and orchestrated, but it's very honest and true from start to finish. It is guaranteed to keep the attention of every American and every race fan. I have many friends in Canada that have also commended me on this one because they understand that more than just geographically, our two countries stand as one most of the time.

You are so very welcome. As I indicated, I first heard it back in 4th grade, which in my case was a while ago! Next time I heard it was on that radio broadcast. I was so elated when someone found the audio and built this video around it. I think it's something everyone should show their kids. We might get a bit more respect for that song that too many choose to "interpret" rather than offer with the respect due song, flag and country.

You are most welcome Sarah. That one was truly my pleasure. I'm a pre-war baby... WWII, that is. Patriotism was like breathing when we were growing up. It was just necessary. :)
